Identity of Kevin Owens’ Partner ‘Ricky’ from 9/13 WWE SmackDown

The September 13 WWE SmackDown went down at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA. This event also marks the season premiere for the blue brand as they make their highly anticipated return to the USA Network. Shifts were expected, and change is always exciting. That included Kevin Owens introducing a new partner, even though it was short-lived.

Kevin Owens was set for a tag team match against Grayson Waller and Austin Theory on the September 13 episode of WWE SmackDown, but he didn’t have a partner announced. When the time came for his partner to come out, nobody knew who it was.

Owens introduced his partner, Ricky, and fans were confused. They were obviously being trolled a bit, because an official soon told Kevin Owens that his real partner was there. Owens then gave Ricky a stunner after apologizing to him, because his services were no longer needed.

Then Randy Orton came out to join his partner, Kevin Owens, for this match. It didn’t take long for Austin Theory and Grayson Waller to suffer defeat. Still, fans were left wondering who Ricky is.

It turns out that Ricky is actually Ricky Gibson. You can find his X account here. He is a member of the tag team Miami Heat. He has worked for Prestige, Defy, and he also worked a match for AEW this year.

We will have to see if Ricky ever comes back. Kevin Owens didn’t seem too heartbroken to kick him to the curb the moment Randy Orton came around. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more.
