Fans have been buzzing about GUNTHER’s potential appearance on the highly anticipated USA Network premiere of WWE SmackDown, and now the plans for the World Heavyweight Champion have been revealed.
GUNTHER is set to compete in a dark match on the show, squaring off against former World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest in front of the Seattle crowd.
Emails sent to fans attending the event confirmed that GUNTHER will face Damian Priest in a non-televised bout, allowing fans in attendance to witness this exciting matchup live. In addition to GUNTHER’s dark match, his Imperium teammate Ludwig Kaiser will also be in action, taking on his Raw rival Sheamus in another non-televised contest.
As for the SmackDown broadcast itself, the show will kick off with a bang, featuring Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defending his title against Solo Sikoa inside a Steel Cage. The night is also set to feature a highly anticipated singles match between Andrade and Carmelo Hayes, along with Kevin Owens teaming up with a mystery partner to take on A-Town Down Under.
While GUNTHER’s in-ring action won’t be part of the televised broadcast, fans in attendance are in for a treat with these thrilling dark matches.
