WWE has been in the process of locking down various esteemed legends of the past with contracts, most recently being former WWE Women’s Champion, Victoria. Now, another name from the manager’s list has been confirmed to follow suit.

According to PWInsider, WWE has officially signed former manager Armando Alejandro Estrada to a Legends contract. Estrada originally joined WWE in 2004, where he gained recognition for his role as the manager of WWE legend the late Umaga.

Armando Estrada’s tenure in WWE also included a stint as the General Manager of WWE’s version of ECW. Estrada left WWE in 2008 but returned for a brief period between 2010 and 2012.

Unfortunately, Armando’s second run with the company saw limited use, and he was not featured prominently on WWE programming. After his final wrestling match in 2013, Estrada has made occasional appearances as a manager in the wrestling world.

With his recent legends deal reportedly now in place with WWE, we will have to wait and see if the promotion chooses to use him for an onscreen role as well, much like the old days.
