The Motor City Machine Guns are still one of the most popular tag teams in professional wrestling. After leaving TNA earlier this year, they sparked rumors about possibly joining WWE. Recently, Alex Shelley deleted a post related to WWE, adding fuel to the speculation.

After departing from TNA, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley had been in discussions with both AEW and WWE. However, it was then reported that talks with AEW had eventually fallen through.

We had previously reported that The Motor City Machine Guns are expected to make their WWE debut during the debut episode of NXT on the CW Network next month, exciting fans in a big way.

Interestingly enough, Alex Shelley took to his Instagram story and uploaded a post of The Motor City Machine Guns, where he attached a NXT Def Rebel song. To add to the intrigue, Shelley would end up deleting the post shortly afterwards.
