Adam Cole’s ankle injury at AEW Grand Slam last year, which caused fractures in three different places, has significantly affected his wrestling plans. Although it’s still unclear when he will make his return, he was present backstage at AEW All Out.

Despite being out of action, Adam Cole has made several significant TV appearances. At AEW World’s End in December, he performed a major heel turn against MJF, which led to the creation of The Undisputed Kingdom with Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, Roderick Strong, and Wardlow.

Cole’s most recent TV appearance was at AEW Double or Nothing in May, where he delivered an in-ring promo that prompted MJF’s return from injury. MJF attacked Cole during this segment.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while Adam Cole was spotted backstage at AEW All Out 2024 and was seen walking around without difficulty, there is still no confirmed date for his return to the ring.
