WWE is undergoing significant growth, especially with NXT moving to the CW Network later this year. The show will kick off this new era with its first two episodes airing on the road. WWE has high expectations for the debut episode on the CW Network, aiming to draw in a large viewership as it starts this new chapter for NXT.

NXT has been airing on the USA Network for quite some time, but this will change in October when the show moves to the CW Network. Despite the change in networks, it has been confirmed that NXT will continue to air on Tuesdays once it transitions to the CW Network.

Shawn Michaels announced that WWE NXT will celebrate its new partnership with the CW Network by hitting the road. The debut event is scheduled for October 1st at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. Following this, NXT will travel to St. Louis for show on October 8th. CM Punk is expected to be part of the NXT launch event in Chicago, while Randy Orton will be featured in St. Louis.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that NXT aims to reach 1 million viewers for its debut on the CW Network. He noted that while it’s an ambitious goal, it’s not out of reach, especially with the possibility of CM Punk, a major draw, being involved. NXT is heavily promoting the show and incorporating a lot of main roster talent, which could help them hit that target.

“They (NXT) really wanna hit 1 Million viewers. I don’t know if that’s possible, I mean put it this way, Punk is a really big draw so I don’t think that’s out of the realm of possibility and they’re promoting the show super hard and there’s gonna be a lot of Main Roster talent so that’s the goal.”

CM Punk also volunteered to be part of NXT’s debut on the CW Network. The CW Network may also feature top NXT talent on their shows. The goal is for NXT to attract younger audiences, who may then continue to engage with WWE’s other programming. Therefore, we’ll have to see how NXT will develop after making its way to the CW Network, as anything could happen.
