Ricochet Responds to Criticism of 9/11 AEW Dynamite Match for Having No Storyline

Ricochet, who was with WWE from 2018 until his departure earlier this year, has joined AEW’s roster. Recently, he took to social media to respond to a critic of his match on AEW Dynamite.

Ahead of the September 11th, 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite, there was a Twitter exchange between Ricochet and user JobberNationTV about Ricochet’s upcoming match against Sammy Guevara. JobberNationTV criticized the match as another “random” bout without a story, expressing excitement sarcastically. Ricochet responded, questioning why people choose to be negative.

“Another random Ricochet match with zero story !!!! Excited!!!!”

“I just don’t understand the negativity all the time. Why live life that way?”

JobberNationTV defended his comments, claiming that his criticism was intended to help AEW improve and arguing that the company’s sensitivity to feedback was part of its struggles. He insisted his critiques were meant to benefit AEW and expressed frustration at being labeled as negative.

“AEW is way too sensitive. Jobber provides EXPERT constructive criticism to the company. And instead of accepting it and using it as a way to improve, they lash out and accuse me of being ‘negative.’ Whether its Swerve, Dax, MJF, or @KingRicochet, they get theit feelings hurt too much. Thats why AEW is struggling. Theyre turning fans away who only want the best for the company. Once again, Jobber criticizes AEW because he only wants the best for them. Its ALWAYS been that way !!”

Ricochet responded to this by dismissing JobberNationTV’s criticism, saying that no one’s feelings were hurt and simply stating that JobberNationTV “sucks.”

“No one gets their feelings hurt hahaha. You just suck.”

Another user, TrapDemoLord, criticized Ricochet for being sensitive and for his reaction to JobberNationTV. Ricochet replied, clarifying that his issue was with JobberNationTV’s rude and sarcastic behavior, which he felt was unacceptable, especially when done anonymously online.

“U sounding really sensitive right now. He sucks cause he doesn’t agree with you? Wow”

“No, he sucks cause he is rude, sarcastic and talks down to people because he knows over the internet there’s no consequences.”

For the record, Ricochet and Sammy Guevara tore the house down during this week’s episode of Dynamite, which saw Ricochet going over The Spanish God. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see how Ricochet will continue to be booked in the coming weeks.
