WWE SmackDown will move to the USA Network starting Friday, September 13 and there is a ton of excitement for good reason. In fact, WWE has just confirmed the opening for this week’s SmackDown as well.
After Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens at WWE Bash in Berlin, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis made a major announcement. Aldis revealed that Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa in a steel cage match during the September 13th edition of SmackDown, which will be the first episode of the show on the USA Network.
WWE took to Twitter and uploaded a video of Triple H, where it was confirmed that Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa’s steel cage match will be opening the September 13th edition of SmackDown.
”Tomorrow night, LIVE from Seattle, @CodyRhodes vs. Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage for the Undisputed WWE Championship will kick off #SmackDown’s monumental return to @USANetwork at 8/7c. As for the rest of the show… you’ll just have to wait and see.”
We will have to wait and see whether Cody Rhodes will end up having a decisive victory over Solo Sikoa in the steel cage match as there is a lot of excitement for the show for good reason.
