The September 11 edition of AEW Dynamite was a night of high intensity, a past rivalry resurrected and multiple opportunities for the stars to claim. Despite the hype surrounding the show, AEW had major disappointment in terms of audience attendance.

In a photo making it’s rounds on social media, many empty seats can be spotted during Chris Jericho’s in-ring segment following his faction’s trios match. The photo shows that AEW failed to attract a huge audience for its show in Lexington, Kentucky.

This is not the first instance that AEW has seen low attendance numbers. Many past editions of AEW Dynamite have seen fewer fans in attendance despite massive promotions by Tony Khan and his company.

This also comes as a major blow following AEW’s two back-to-back successful pay-per-views, beginning with AEW All In at the end of August and All Out taking place last week with a spectacular match card.

With their next special event, AEW Grand Slam, coming up at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York on September 25, we will have to wait and see if the company manages to draw an audience for its shows leading up to the huge event.
