Machine Gun Kelly recently made waves by sharing a surprising story about a heated encounter with WWE veteran Randy Orton during the SummerSlam weekend. While WWE has had no shortage of celebrity appearances throughout its history, MGK’s recent claims have sparked fresh attention on the music star’s involvement with the wrestling world.
MGK accompanied Logan Paul to the ring during Paul’s match against LA Knight during SummerSlam at Cleveland Browns Stadium. Before the event kicked off, MGK allegedly crossed paths with Orton, recalling some criticisms Orton had made about him in the past. On Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, MGK recounted his hesitation, but eventually stood up for himself.
“I was in the ring, just coming to Logan to see what we could work out for the show,” MGK explained. “I saw Randy Orton. I remember seeing Randy Orton talk shit about me. There is a point where I was like, ‘I’m going to practice a new version of myself. Three…two…one. F*ck that. Ay man, f*ck you.’”
The confrontation reportedly left MGK’s friends stunned, as they were caught off guard by the escalation.
“All my boys were sitting there [stunned]. ‘Is this real? I don’t know what’s happening.’ The amount of people that pinned me as the aggressor in every situation I’m in are so wrong,” MGK shared.
Despite MGK’s claims, the story has raised some eyebrows. WWE talent and staff told reporters that they hadn’t heard about the alleged confrontation until MGK’s appearance on Impaulsive. While many initially believed MGK might have been exaggerating or working the situation for publicity, Orton himself has reportedly denied the story, saying it simply “didn’t happen.”
Sean Ross Sapp has now provided a further update on Fightful Select. It was reported that there is no footage of this confrontation between MGK and Randy Orton. At this point, the alleged incident didn’t get much, if any, discussion backstage at all.
“We’re told that no footage that anyone has seen corroborated these accounts, and that people have tried to look for the video.“
“Every WWE talent or staffer that we’ve spoken to said that they did not hear about the alleged incident until MGK’s appearance on Impaulsive. The initial assumption was that MGK was working with his comments, as those around him say he’s seemed like he’s enjoyed himself.“
“Anyone who has asked Orton about the situation was just told it outright didn’t happen.“
Fans remain curious about the incident, but as of now, no footage has surfaced to support MGK’s claims. We will keep an eye on this story fro any updates.
Machine Gun Kelly may be trying to get a match against Randy Orton. It stands to reason that he may want to get in on the action, after being in Logan Paul’s corner at SummerSlam, he certainly got a good view of the action.
