On the September 10, 2024 episode of WWE NXT, fans were excited as the show neared its end on the USA Network. A big moment was Giulia’s debut match against Chelsea Green. While the match was exciting, some people criticized Giulia for not showing enough emotion during the match, which might make it harder for her to connect with the audience.

Giulia’s debut match in WWE NXT took place during the second match of the night, which had a commercial-free start. Chelsea Green started off strong, gaining control early, but Giulia quickly turned things around. Giulia landed a knee to Chelsea’s head, followed by a northern lights bomb, securing her victory. It was an impressive debut, showing that Giulia is a powerful new competitor in NXT.

While many fans and critics were impressed with her debut, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray, speaking on Busted Open Radio, offered some constructive criticism. Bully Ray commended Giulia’s overall presentation, including her entrance and unique gear, but pointed out that she lacked facial expressions, which are crucial for connecting with the American audience.

Ray noted that her flat, expressionless demeanor at times made her appear less engaging. Although he appreciated her look and performance against Green, Bully Ray emphasized that she would need to adapt to WWE’s style and show more emotion in her expressions to reach her full potential as a top star in the company.

“I’m not so much a fan of the expressionless face. I’d loved to see some more expression from her,” he said. “It almost looks like she took a Benadryl before she went out there. It’s a very flat look on her face at times. Like the entrance, like the presentation, like the look, like the mish-mash of the gear … She had like, fur last night and tassels and a lot of different things that came together. In the ring, I thought it was a good match for her against Chelsea. She’s going to have to learn how to work the American, WWE style.”

Regardless, many fans were clearly impressed with Giulia’s in-ring debut and that’s what people are more focused on right now. In the meantime, Giulia will challenge Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship on the debut episode of NXT on the CW Network, so we’ll have to see how that will turn out.
