AEW star Daniel Garcia is reportedly at a crossroads in his wrestling career, as he is yet to sign a new contract with AEW, leaving open the possibility of a move to WWE. Despite being involved in significant storyline angles at AEW All In and a match at All Out with MJF, Garcia’s future remains uncertain.
According to Fightful Select, Daniel Garcia was initially considered to win his match against MJF at All Out 2024. However, since he hadn’t signed a new deal ahead of the event, the decision was made for MJF to secure the victory instead.
“Garcia was considered for the win, and that those in AEW say he’s not signed a new deal. Garcia has been offered a new deal, and AEW were hopeful he’d sign it before All Out, which didn’t happen.”
AEW has offered Garcia a new contract, and the promotion was “hopeful he’d sign it before All Out,” but that did not materialize. With his current AEW contract set to expire in October, there’s a belief within AEW that WWE may be interested in signing him.
PWInsider confirmed the timeline of Garcia’s contract, while Fightful noted that at least one “top talent” in AEW had believed throughout the summer that Garcia would ultimately stay with the company. However, as of mid-September, Garcia’s future with AEW remains far from certain.
“One top talent had been under the impression this Summer that Garcia was staying, but that is far from a guarantee. AEW believes that WWE has interest in Garcia, but we’ve not heard if any contact has been made as of yet. “
With Daniel Garcia’s contract situation still unfolding, fans are left wondering whether he will remain with AEW or opt to join WWE, which has shown interest in bringing him into their ranks. Stay tuned to Ringside News for further updates on Garcia’s decision as it develops.
