AEW boasts a roster full of talented acts, but the difference between skyrocketing to the top or falling into mid-card obscurity often hinges on fan reaction. For The Outrunners, it seems they are in a very promising position.

A tag team casino gauntlet match headlined the night during the September 11 AEW Dynamite, during which The Outrunners received the pop of the night. Their charisma shines from the moment they make their entrance and carries through their performances. This hasn’t gone unnoticed by AEW.

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that AEW was highly impressed with the reception The Outrunners received. The Lexington, Kentucky crowd gave them an incredible response, which was likely influenced by their work on the Kentucky indie circuit over the years.

“There were numerous people within AEW very happy about the Outrunners reaction from the crowd Wednesday. The duo have worked the Kentucky area quite a bit.”

This is great news for Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd, who benefit not only from crowd support but also from their unique gimmick.

AEW fans are known to gravitate toward acts they perceive as authentic, and The Outrunners fit the bill. While they have a throwback vibe, reminiscent of the 80s and 90s tag team wrestling era, they’re far from a parody. Their authenticity and fan support have clearly earned them a place in AEW.

What’s your take on The Outrunners? Do you think they deserve a run with the titles in AEW? Let us know in the comments section!
