AEW has made a lot of progress in the last five years, especially with how their shows look. Recently, there have been rumors about a new show called “AEW Shockwave.” In fact, it appears that AEW is still discussing the possibility of a new TV series with FOX.

On September 6, All Elite Wrestling officially applied for the trademark “AEW: Shockwave” with the United States Patent & Trademark Office. The application is currently being reviewed by a trademark examiner. Rumors suggest that “AEW Shockwave” could air on FOX, with the network reportedly showing interest in a deal with AEW, sparking excitement among fans.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about AEW’s talks with FOX about a new one-hour show, possibly on FS1. He said the deal isn’t finished yet and probably won’t be on the main FOX network.

Instead, it might air on FS1, another network, or a streaming service. Meltzer pointed out that while the deal isn’t final, the trademark for “AEW Shockwave” shows they’re likely close to an agreement.

“The FOX deal is not done. I know a lot of people have been talking about the idea on the FOX network. I do not know, but I would very strongly suspect it will not be on the FOX Network. It would probably be another station. You know, whether it FS1, whether it’s a different station, whether it’s streaming component, I don’t know, and it’s not, and I don’t believe it’s a done deal either. I think it’s something that they’re working on, although as far as the Shockwave thing, they did trademark the name of Shockwave. So they have to be pretty darn close to a deal to go and actually go to the length of trademarking the name.”

We have also reported on the internal reaction to the deal with AEW and FOX. AEW President Tony Khan has not said much about the future of “AEW Shockwave” yet. Fans should stay tuned for updates in the coming months to find out if the show will eventually air on Fox Sports 1.
