The pro wrestling world has seen many celebrity cameos in its history. Even Stephen Amell is pretty confident that he could have a WWE Hall of Fame induction in his sights. Now, Paola Mayfield is officially joining Women of Wrestling.
90-Day Fiancé star Paola Mayfield has built her wrestling career by competing for various independent promotions and the NWA. Now, she is taking her talents to a new platform.
David McLane, co-founder of the all-female wrestling organization, told TMZ Sports that he’s thrilled to have Paola Mayfield on the show. This will give her a chance to display her talents in front of a new audience.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Paola Mayfield join WOW – Women Of Wrestling. I have been following her wrestling journey and her success on reality TV for some time now, and we can’t wait to see her take her talents and flare to the WOW ring in the new season. Armed with raw athleticism and undeniable skill, she is ready to dominate in the ring, and her on-camera charisma is bound to turn heads.”
On October 6, 2021, it was announced that CBS Media Ventures, the syndication arm of Paramount Global, had entered into a multi-year distribution deal for WOW. This agreement will bring new episodes to weekend syndication starting in Fall 2022.
AJ Mendez, originally an executive producer for the show, never wrestled during her time with WOW. Although she has since left the company, she expressed her best wishes upon her departure. Tessa Blanchard, who was also with the organization, was released and continues to work the independent wrestling scene.
The new season of WOW premieres on September 14. We will keep our eye on this story for more updates.
