Natalya Underwent Medical Procedure During WWE Hiatus

Natalya has been a key figure in WWE’s women’s division since her debut in 2008, and recently renewed her contract with the company. Fans were eager to know when she would return to television, and she made her comeback on RAW this week. Natalya has now revealed that she underwent eye surgery during her time away from WWE.

On the September 9 episode of Monday Night RAW, Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler faced Zelina Vega and Lyra Valkyria in a match. The babyfaces were missing one partner, leaving fans wondering who would join them.

The mystery was soon solved when Natalya made her surprise return. The crowd in Alberta went wild as Natalya’s music played. She quickly joined the match and made a big impact, helping her team win.

While speaking during an appearance on Growing Up Von Erichs, Natalya shared that she took the summer off to work on some projects and undergo eye surgery to correct astigmatism. During this break, WWE was very supportive, allowing her the time she needed. She praised WWE and Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque for their understanding and encouragement.

”I took a little time off this summer and the company was so great about it. They were like, ‘Take as much time as you need.’ It’s really changing so much in the best way and the culture is so different now. Our boss, Triple H, he is such a cool boss. I just recently got eye surgery to correct astigmatism in my eye and I needed a little bit more time off to get that done. He’s like, ‘Go get your eyes fixed.’ He’s like, ‘Don’t even worry about it.’ He’s like, ‘Take care of yourself’ and it was like, it’s just so cool to have a boss that’s human.

I was saying this to my husband the other day, ‘Working with Triple H over the last year, it’s been such a breath of fresh air’ because he was also a wrestler. So he knows all about what it’s like. You’re pitching a storyline or you’re going through a hardship at home or — he has three daughters as well. So, he knows about handling girls. Girls are different than guys. We’re more emotional and we overthink things. He’s a really cool boss. I really like working for him and with him. It’s just been such a breath of fresh air.”

It’s good to know that Natalya got the surgery that she definitely needed during her hiatus from WWE. We’ll have to see how WWE will use Natalya on TV in the coming weeks now that she’s back after a long time away. Fans are eager to see her succeed and are hopeful for a strong push in her return.
