Cody Rhodes Gives His Take on Triple H Leading WWE Creative

The American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes, captured the Undisputed WWE Championship from Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, marking a significant moment in his career under Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s creative leadership.

Triple H assumed leadership of WWE’s creative team in July 2022, following Vince McMahon’s initial retirement and subsequently ascending as the Chief Content Officer in 2024. Since then, his influence has garnered widespread praise from WWE stars for revitalizing the company’s creative direction.

In an interview with ESPN, Cody Rhodes commended Triple H for his exceptional instincts and leadership. He noted that Triple H had world-champion-level instincts long before becoming a champion and now applies those instincts expertly as the WWE Chief Content Officer. Rhodes also highlighted Triple H’s forward-thinking approach, particularly showcased during the NXT black-and-gold era, where he helped evolve the sport.

Furthermore, Cody praised Triple H’s ability to guide WWE to significant television ratings and increased social engagement since taking on the creative leadership role. Rhodes expressed his pride in working under Triple H, recognizing his contributions to WWE’s current success.

“Triple H in the ring had world-champion instincts long before he ever was one. He applies those instincts expertly today as chief content officer. He was also amongst a handful of players ahead of the curve in terms of evolving the sport which he showcased with the NXT black-and-gold era.When the moment came for him to take over with Nick Khan and lead the ship creatively, he helped guide WWE to massive television ratings and social engagement increases. I take the field for him with immense pride.”

Cody Rhodes is set to face Solo Sikoa in a rematch from WWE SummerSlam for the Undisputed WWE title on the premiere episode of SmackDown on the USA network this week. However, this time, the showdown will take place inside a Steel Cage, as announced by SmackDown GM Nick Aldis last week.

While Triple H continues to lead the charge of this new era under his creative control, we will have to wait and see how long Rhodes will continue to hold the title and be the face of his regime.
