The news that Monday Night RAW is moving to Netflix has caused a lot of talk in the wrestling world. In fact, it appears that RAW will go back to being a three-hour show once it starts streaming on Netflix.
It was reported that WWE and Netflix confirmed their huge deal to move Monday Night RAW to the streaming service, which will begin in January 2025. The reported deal, valued at over $5 billion for a duration of ten years, shocked fans all over the world and the deal was announced on January 23rd.
During the September 9 episode of RAW, it was announced that WWE’s flagship show will be reduced to a two-hour format from October 7 until the end of 2024, airing from 8 pm ET to 10 pm ET on the USA Network. This made fans wonder if the 2-hour format will remain the same on Netflix next year.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that RAW will return to a three-hour format with its Netflix move. Meltzer added this change to a three-hour show on Netflix has been confirmed.
“It’s a three-hour show when they move back to Netflix. Yeah, I had it confirmed a few minutes ago.”
Triple H is also confident that fans will make the transition to Netflix without any concerns. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether WWE will undergo significant changes with RAW’s transition to Netflix next year.
