The September 9 edition of Monday Night RAW saw the return of Bret “The Hitman” Hart, who made a special appearance at the show, taking place at the Saddledome, in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Bret Hart’s appearance was put together by WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque, who has had his conflicts with The Hitman during the heights of The Attitude Era. Bret and his Hart Foundation had one of the most historic feuds with Triple H and Shawn Michaels, who were known together as ‘D-GenerationX.’

Moreover, The Game and Hitman reportedly did not like each other in real life at the time. Despite a conflicted past, Dave Meltzer, on the Wrestling Observer Radio, reported that Triple H was very nice to Bret on RAW this week. He approached it with deep professionalism, citing his place at the top of the management and giving the fans in Calgary a memorable night with Bret Har’s appearance on RAW.

““Triple H was very nice to Bret from what I heard, a couple people brought that up to me, — Historically they don’t like each other, both of them. But it’s business and Triple H is running things and they don’t wanna insult Bret, so they have to show respect to Bret. So everybody was nice to everybody.”

Furthermore, Triple H and Bret Hart were also spotted having a moment backstage on RAW. This was preceded by Hart’s in-ring segment with Sami Zayn and current World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER.

While GUNTHER insulted Bret Hart, proclaiming Goldberg as his favourite superstar instead of Bret, Hart’s appearance surely garnered significant traction for RAW this week, proving to be a success, courtesy of a great business decision by Triple H and his team.
