Reason Behind The Rascalz Being Pulled from 9/10 WWE NXT Tag Title Match

WWE and TNA Wrestling have formed a solid partnership, proven by The Rascalz earning a shot at the NXT Tag Team Titles. However, they were unexpectedly replaced for a major match on NXT this week.

On last week’s episode of WWE NXT, Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel earned a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championship by defeating Gallus, Hank Walker, and Tank Ledger. The match between The Rascalz and the champions, Nathan Frazer and Axiom, was scheduled for tonight’s episode of NXT.

However, NXT General Manager Ava announced that the match would now feature Frazer and Axiom defending against the Street Profits instead and fans wondered why this change took place.

According to an update from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, The Rascalz were pulled from the title match due to Trey Miguel undergoing unexpected minor surgery on Sunday.

We will have to wait and see whether The Rascalz will get their shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships in the future as they clearly earned it. Till then, all fans can do is wait and hope for Miguel’s speedy recovery.
