Randy Orton has proven why he’s considered one of the best in the business after coming back last year. In fact, Orton’s new deal with WWE will ultimately help him make history.

Randy Orton made his return to WWE at Survivor Series in November after a lengthy absence caused by a severe back injury. Coming back as a babyface, he participated in the Men’s WarGames Match. Since then, Orton has been involved in significant storylines with prominent stars such as Logan Paul, The Bloodline, and GUNTHER.

The Apex Predator previously confirmed that he signed a new 5-year deal with WWE and will remain with the company till 2029. Many expect this contract to be a very lucrative one as well.

While speaking on his Dirty Sheets podcast via Patreon, Billi Bhatti talked about Randy Orton’s new contract, stating that he previously mentioned if Orton signed another deal with his $4 million downside guarantee, he would become the highest-paid wrestler in WWE history and that is exactly what Orton did.

Bhatti noted that this does not include The Rock’s Hollywood earnings, as they are not part of WWE’s budget. Bhatti mentioned that with this new deal, Orton will get an extra guaranteed $20 million from WWE. Even though Orton doesn’t make a lot from merchandise, he earns an additional $1-1.5 million from bonuses. Overall, his WWE earnings could rise by $25-30 million, making him the first WWE wrestler to earn over $100 million from the company.

This would make Orton the highest-paid WWE wrestler ever, surpassing stars like Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Roman Reigns, and The Undertaker. Bhatti made it clear that this doesn’t include money from outside ventures or investments, such as Triple H’s share investments or Hulk Hogan’s lawsuit winnings.

“For Randy Orton, with his new contract, I previously mentioned that if he renews for another term at his $4 million downside guarantee, which is what he is paid, he will become the highest-paid wrestler in WWE and that’s what happened. This does not include what The Rock earns from Hollywood, as that is not paid out of WWE’s budget. We are focusing on what WWE has paid directly. With his new contract, Orton is set to receive an additional guaranteed $20 million from WWE.

Orton is not a huge merchandise seller, he scoops up about an additional $1-1.5 million with his bonuses. This will be a roundabout contract earning like $25-30 million additional, making him the first wrestler in WWE history to surpass the $100 million mark in earnings from the company. This makes Orton the highest-paid wrestler of all time in WWE. We are not talking about what people made overall, so Hulk Hogan suing Gawker doesn’t count, Rock and Cena with their movies do not count. We are talking about what the WWE has paid to you. As of now, Randy Orton, this doesn’t include Triple H either because he has a different contract and share investments, Orton will be higher than Hogan, Cena, Orton, Roman, Undertaker, anyone else in history.”

The Apex Predator most recently lost to GUNTHER at WWE Bash in Berlin but he is clearly doing well when it comes to making money, since he will be making history with his new contract. Nonetheless, many fans will agree that someone like Orton more than deserves it.
