TNA star Alex Hammerstone has been spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, ahead of tonight’s WWE NXT episode on September 10.
According to Fightful Select, Hammerstone is rumored to be the mystery opponent for WWE NXT North American Champion Oba Femi, a match that was teased in a video from the “NXT Anonymous” account. The clip featured Tony D’Angelo paying off an unknown individual, hinting that this mystery man would handle his problems with Femi.
Sources have indicated that Hammerstone and Femi were seen rehearsing for their match earlier today, making Hammerstone a strong candidate for the surprise opponent. Hammerstone, a former MLW World Champion, signed with TNA in early 2024 and could be one of the latest TNA names to appear in NXT as part of the ongoing partnership between NXT and TNA.
Tonight’s WWE NXT will also feature Jordynne Grace defending her TNA Knockouts World Title in an open challenge, adding another exciting element to the show.
While The Rascalz were originally scheduled to compete for the NXT Tag Team Titles, they were replaced by WWE SmackDown stars The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford), as announced on September 9.
