Cody Rhodes is currently one of the biggest stars in WWE and carries significant responsibilities as the Undisputed WWE Champion. While he’s set for a big title on this week, we now have an update on his opponent for Bad Blood next month.
WWE Bad Blood 2024 is set for the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, October 5, 2024 and has special start time for a good reason. Cody Rhodes will obviously have a big title match at the show as well.
Before Bad Blood, The American Nightmare is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa on the September 13th edition of Friday Night SmackDown in a steel cage match.
Naturally, this made fans wonder if Rhodes will have another rematch with Sikoa at Bad Blood, should he win on SmackDown. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Solo Sikoa will not face Cody Rhodes at Bad Blood and believed that Jacob Fatu would face Rhodes instead, as that would make the most sense.
“I was told it would not be Solo. It could be Jacob. It’s a little early. I don’t know. I guess Jacob makes the most sense.”
Cody Rhodes already has a huge task at hand for SmackDown this week, but we will have to wait and see whether The American Nightmare will end up facing off against Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood next month, as Solo Sikoa has now been ruled out.
What’s your view on Solo Sikoa not being Cody Rhodes’ opponent at Bad Blood next month? Is Jacob Fatu the logical choice to face Rhodes instead? Sound off in the comments section below!
