Adam Page was out for blood at AEW All Out last week and he was able to defeat Swerve Strickland. The match included a brutal spot with a hypodermic needle and it appears Page has been called out for stealing that spot.

At AEW All Out, Swerve Strickland and Adam Page faced off in a brutal Lights Out Steel Cage match that began with intense action before the cage was fully lowered. Prince Nana threw a table into the ring, and Strickland used the cage to attack Page. Both wrestlers quickly introduced various weapons, including a staple gun. Page used the gun until Strickland took over, even stapling a photo of Page’s family to his chest.

The match was extremely violent, with both wrestlers bleeding and enduring heavy hits. Strickland threw Page through a table, but Page fought back with a powerful Dead Eye move. The fight escalated when Page executed a powerbomb onto a cinder block, making Strickland land on it.

Strickland further intensified the violence by stabbing Page in the head. Page retaliated by removing Strickland’s grill and using a hypodermic needle on him. The match concluded with Page hitting Strickland with a chair, securing the win. Strickland was severely injured and required immediate medical attention.

While speaking on the Spotfight Wrestling podcast, former Death Match wrestler Thumbtack Jack addressed Adam Page’s needle spot. Thumbtack Jack called out Adam Page for allegedly copying his hypodermic needle spot at AEW All Out. Jack pointed out that Page’s use of the syringe wasn’t done as well as it could have been and suggested Page should have asked for advice on how to do it right.

Jack noted that these kinds of spots are more effective when the opponent is already bleeding, and that typically, one should ask for permission to use someone else’s move. However, he mentioned that Hangman Page, calling him the “Entitled Millennial Cowboy” persona, might not follow these norms.

So Adam Page stole my syringe spot, at least that’s what I heard. And there he is, he gets the syringe, puts it in his mouth. And now he goes for the stab. The syringe didn’t go all the way through, you could have asked me for advice Hangman, I would have told you how to pull it off properly. So, the thing about the syringe spot, it works best if you got a great visual before you do the spot, if you already have the opponent bleeding. Etiquette would tell you to ask permission, but the Hangman is the Entitled Millennial Cowboy, so it’s fine.

[Asking podcast co-host] What are your thoughts on wrestlers stealing other wrestlers famous spots? Should one have to ask for permission is that one from the past?

Swerve Strickland has defended the level of violence in the steel cage match. A petition was also launched that urged AEW to end their programming after Swerve Strickland and Adam Page’s All Out match. Regardless, Adam Page truly shocked fans with his level of brutality and that’s unlikely to ever change.

What do you think of this accusation made against Adam Page? Do you feel Page should have asked for permission for that spot? Let us know in the comments section below!
