Swerve Strickland, known for his impressive wrestling skills and commanding presence in AEW, faced one of the toughest battles of his career at AEW All Out. Despite his strong efforts, he endured a harsh defeat. Following this loss, it seems Swerve will be taking some time away from AEW after the event.

In the main event of AEW All Out, Swerve Strickland faced Adam Page in a Lights Out Steel Cage match. The fight started before the cage fully lowered, with Prince Nana throwing a table into the ring, and Strickland nearly hitting Page with the cage. Both wrestlers quickly brought in weapons, and Page used a staple gun, but Strickland turned it against him, even stapling a picture of Page’s family to his chest.

Both men were bleeding heavily, hitting each other off the cage. Strickland sent Page through a table, and Page hit back with a Dead Eye. Strickland later stabbed Page in the head, and Page ripped out Strickland’s grill and stabbed him with a needle. The match ended after a chair shot, with Page winning. Strickland was left badly injured, and medical staff had to assist him.

While speaking during Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Swerve Strickland is expected to take some time off from AEW television after All Out. Meltzer mentioned that Swerve’s break comes after he signed a contract, though the exact reason for his time off remains unclear.
