Roxanne Perez has been the NXT Women’s Champion for several months now and she is more than happy to see the women’s division flourishing so much. In fact, she is now advocating for the WWE main roster to get midcard titles as well.
WWE’s women’s division could be getting a major enhancement. With plenty of talent available, the company appears to be contemplating the introduction of new titles for its female wrestlers.
Rumors have been swirling about WWE potentially adding Women’s United States and Intercontinental Titles to their roster. It was also reported that while nothing has been officially confirmed, there have been internal discussions within the company about introducing these new championships.
While speaking during her recent appearance on The Masked Man Show, Roxanne Perez talked about the possibility of adding a women’s midcard title to WWE’s main roster. She was inspired by the success of the NXT Women’s North American Championship and the growing talent pool.
Perez described her emotional reaction to the announcement of the NXT title, saying it was a significant and moving moment for her. She believes that WWE should consider introducing a similar mid-card title for women on the main roster.
“I would love that. Honestly, I remember right before my match, they announced the ‘NXT’ Women’s North American Championship. I started tearing up and got chills because it was such a cool moment. It’s what every woman in wrestling has been fighting for over the years, and now we finally got it. I think they should start doing that on the main roster. We should get a midcard title.”
We’ll have to wait and see if WWE decides to introduce a women’s mid-card title or possibly two, one for each main roster brand. After all, many fans believe that the female WWE Superstars deserve their own mid-card championships.
