Rebel Dealing with Considerable Health Struggles During Prolonged AEW Hiatus

Rebel has gained recognition as one of former AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker’s biggest supporters over the past few years. Although she is currently absent from AEW television, it seems Rebel has been facing significant health challenges.

Rebel was widely recognized as Britt Baker’s right-hand woman throughout her time on AEW television. However, her role ended when Baker and Jamie Hayter turned babyface in 2023, and Rebel has been absent from TV since August last year.

Rebel took to Instagram and revealed that this year has been unexpected for her. She had kept her situation private but feels she’s on the mend now. She thanked those who knew and kept her situation confidential.

For those who weren’t aware, she revealed that she was hospitalized in May due to a lung mass that was initially undiagnosed but turned out to be pneumonia. Additional CT scans found some minor issues that she is addressing. She feels better each day and looks forward to being in great shape by her next birthday.

”This year has not been what I expected. I’ve kept this private until now bc I believe I’m on the up. Thank you to the very few who knew what was going on and kept it private. And for those who didn’t know, I’ll spare you the details but in short, I was hospitalized in May for a good while bc they found a mass in my lung that they couldn’t figure out what it was, turns out it’s pneumonia. A couple of ct scans found some other minor issues that I am taking care of. I feel better every day, now that I am getting a handle on these things. As previously reported, Rebel is still under contract with AEW despite her absence. Nonetheless, we give Rebel our best and hope she makes a full recovery and eventually makes her return to AEW television somewhere down the line.
