MJF to Take Hiatus Following AEW All Out 2024

MJF made a shocking return at Double or Nothing in May, and since then, he’s been at the center of AEW’s biggest storylines. After turning heel on Daniel Garcia, the two eventually faced off in a brutal match at AEW All Out. While many fans believed Garcia might come out on top, MJF managed to secure a controversial victory, as expected from “The Devil.”

Following the match, the tension seemed to simmer down as MJF extended a hand of friendship to Garcia. However, Garcia saw through the act and blocked a low blow attempt from MJF, responding with one of his own before delivering a devastating piledriver from the middle rope. After the spot, medical personnel immediately attended to MJF, suggesting a possible injury angle.

According to Ibou of WrestlePurists and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio, MJF has reportedly been written off AEW television for now, as he is expected to take time off to film a movie. This suggests fans may not see him for a while as he shifts focus to his acting career.
