The final episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX was eventful, to say the least. After all, WWE wanted to ensure that the final episode would set up next week’s show, which would be on the USA Network. However, it appears a fan was ejected from the show after throwing a punch.
During the September 6th show, a rematch between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa was booked, who have agreed to a Steel Cage match next week.
Additionally, Bayley defeated Tiffany Stratton, and Giovanni Vinci lost his re-debut in just four seconds. The fans at Roger’s Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada were enthusiastic about the show, but there was also some trouble in the crowd.
David Roux of PWInsider, who was at the September 6 SmackDown episode, reported an unsanctioned fight among some fans. Security had to step in after a man with two children threw a punch at a drunk fan who was causing a disturbance. The drunk fan, who continued to cause problems, then started arguing with another spectator and was seen crying to security while others told him to stop.
It’s unfortunate that such an incident occurred during the show, but we hope it doesn’t happen again. Meanwhile, WWE is focused on the upcoming episode of SmackDown on the USA Network, which is their primary concern at the moment.
