AEW showcased the 2024 All Out event at the NOW Arena on August 7, delivering several high-stakes title matches, including a thrilling AEW World Tag Team Championship bout. In this contest, The Young Bucks defended their titles against Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta, setting the stage for a marquee showdown between two of AEW’s most dominant teams.

The match carried an interesting backstory. Just days prior, Claudio and Wheeler had claimed the AEW Trios Titles alongside PAC at All In, securing a big win at Wembley Stadium. However, the World Tag Team Championship match came together with little build-up, being quickly arranged in the lead-up to All Out. Despite the short notice, the stakes were undeniable, creating anticipation for an exciting battle between these top-tier competitors.

Following the thrilling opener between MJF and Daniel Garcia, which stretched around 30 minutes, it was time for the night’s first title defense. The Young Bucks, ever the fan favorites, entered ready for the challenge. Despite their best efforts, Claudio and Wheeler came dangerously close to snatching the titles, leaving fans on the edge of their seats with several near falls.

The challengers had their moments to shine, with Claudio delivering a barrage of European Uppercuts, running around the ring to take on both of the Jackson brothers. His strength and agility were on full display, giving the Chicago crowd plenty to cheer about, especially when he pulled off his iconic big swing in the center of the ring. The energy in the arena soared, but it wasn’t enough to clinch the victory.

As the match reached its climax, Wheeler Yuta went for a high-risk splash off the top rope, but Nick Jackson managed to get his knees up just in time. With quick reflexes, Jackson rolled Yuta up, securing the win for The Young Bucks and ensuring their successful title defense. Though the champions retained, Claudio and Yuta certainly didn’t make it easy for them.
