Nick Aldis, known for his achievements in NWA and TNA, transitioned to WWE last year as the SmackDown General Manager. With ongoing speculation about his return to the ring, there are increasing calls for WWE to give Aldis a shot at the World Championship.

It’s been nearly a year since Nick Aldis was introduced as SmackDown’s General Manager by WWE CCO Triple H. Aldis has excelled in the role, but many fans are eager to see him return to the ring eventually.

During the September 6th episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Aldis announced a Steel Cage match for the following week, where Cody Rhodes will defend his Undisputed WWE Title against Solo Sikoa.

Following this announcement, former WWE star Matt Morgan took to Twitter to strongly advocate for WWE to give Aldis a chance at the World Championship. As a friend of Aldis, Morgan has been vocal about his belief that Aldis deserves a significant push. He pointed out that Aldis, who stands out even in a three-piece suit, has all the qualities of a world champion. Despite his impressive performance as GM, Morgan feels WWE is missing an opportunity by not fully utilizing Aldis’s wrestling skills and charisma.

Morgan reminisced about wrestling Aldis during his early days in TNA and praised his growth in the business. He remains hopeful that WWE will eventually create a storyline that allows Aldis to showcase his full potential in the ring. Morgan believes Aldis has the potential to be a major draw and is eager to see him get the chance he deserves.

”I’m sorry. I’ve been as quiet about this as much as I can because @RealNickAldis is a friend of mine. But when the heck is @wwe going to get this guy in the ring already?! Just look at him in this photo with two of the most over acts in Wwe right now! He SCREAMS “world heavyweight champion”! But, I’m Continuing to be patient lol, and letting this storyline “cook” in being the GM. But respectfully, Wwe is missing the mark not taking his equally impressive wrestling acumen and ability to get over, & rate it at the same level they obviously do of his promo ability. I’ve said it since 2012 now: Nick is without a question in my mind, that quintessential & perennial world champion, just WAITING TO HAPPEN! I know it’s not a matter of if, it’s just a matter of when. But it’s becoming harder and harder for me to sit back and watch Nick literally “dwarf” everybody in these promo segments physically, even though he’s rocking a 3-piece full suit lol! This dude is the whole package.

Hopefully he’ll get his chance sooner versus later. And I say all this with still being very impressed with how he has expanded that GM role they gave him. He has knocked that role out of the park quite frankly! But people forget, Nick got into this business when he was still a teenager! I know from experience, because I wrestled him on the very first Tna show hed ever wrestled on, when we went to tour England. He was still just a baby. This is not some guy that’s old & grizzled w/multitudes of injuries or something. Again, he’s doing great in this GM role. But I’m still hoping that sooner vs. later, they create a storyline that finally introduces him to Get in the Ring and show what he can TRULY offer that global juggernaut of a company. And yes, I do believe that he IS a future draw. Without hesitation, I know it. @TripleH #Wwe #SmackDown #Raw #Netflix @USANetwork #USANetwork @netflix”

Nick Aldis has also revealed the opponents he wants for a potential in-ring return at WrestleMania. Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see if WWE will ever decide to give Aldis a World Title run somewhere down the line, as anything is possible in the world of professional wrestling.
