WWE is always changing, and 2024 will likely keep seeing adjustments as the company continues their evolution. A significant change is coming to WWE programming following SmackDown’s return to the USA Network next week.

Last night’s SmackDown marked the final episode to air on FOX, as WWE’s five-year deal with the network has officially concluded. Beginning with next week’s episode, SmackDown will once again be broadcast on the USA Network, and with this shift comes a notable adjustment to one of WWE’s accompanying shows.

Previously, WWE uploaded the SmackDown Lowdown on Saturdays, the day after SmackDown aired, on the WWE Network and YouTube. This differed from Raw Talk, which airs live on Peacock and the WWE Network immediately following Raw each week.

However, with SmackDown’s return to USA, the format of the SmackDown Lowdown will now mirror that of Raw Talk. The show is set to go live on Peacock and the WWE Network directly after SmackDown, giving fans immediate post-show content.

The change has sparked questions about the future airing of NXT Level Up, which currently airs on the WWE Network right after SmackDown. With the SmackDown Lowdown taking over that slot, it remains unclear when NXT Level Up will now air. Stay tuned for further updates on WWE’s programming schedule.

It is also interesting to note that some fans have complained that SmackDown wasn’t uploaded on Hulu at the same time on Saturday that they usually do. This is also blamed on the change to USA Network. So, we will have to see what the new schedule looks like after the blue brand goes back to their former home.

What’s your take on WWE switching things up with SmackDown’s move back to the USA Network? Do you think that it will be a better show after leaving FOX? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
