Sami Zayn Shares Heartwarming Moment with Kevin Owens After 9/6 WWE SmackDown

Sami Zayn’s tenure as WWE Intercontinental Champion came to an end at WWE SummerSlam when he lost the title to Bron Breakker and lost to Breakker again on RAW last month. Zayn also competed after SmackDown this week and he shared a wholesome moment with Kevin Owens after the show.

Sami Zayn came out wearing an Edmonton Oilers jersey to wrestle in front of his fellow Canadians at WWE SmackDown. After the September 6th episode of Friday Night SmackDown concluded, he competed in a dark match but lost to Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker in the main event.

Despite the loss, Sami shared a special moment with Kevin Owens, giving the fans a feel-good ending. Sami Zayn would cut a short promo on Owens, appreciating him, before giving him a big hug as fans in attendance cheered on.

As for Sami Zayn’s own career, he is currently feuding with GUNTHER for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and will likely face The Ring General at WWE Bad Blood, so we’ll have to see how WWE will book the feud till then. In the meantime, fans definitely had fun watching Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens after SmackDown and that’s what mattered to them.
