Cedric Alexander first made his mark in WWE through the Cruiserweight Classic tournament in 2016. Since then, he has mostly been part of the lower to mid-card scene, with a few tag team title victories. With that said, it appears that Alexander has signed a new deal with WWE, confirming his continued presence in the company.
According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, Cedric Alexander re-signed with WWE earlier this year on a multi-year deal, joining other WWE talents who renewed their contracts in 2024. MVP had previously suggested that Alexander had re-signed.
Throughout his WWE career, Cedric has won the Cruiserweight Championship, Raw Tag Team Championship, and 24/7 Championship, and even earned a Slammy Award. He was also a key member of the popular Hurt Business stable.
This year, Cedric participated in the WWE Speed tournament and was slated to team with Ashante Thee Adonis. However, despite vignettes featuring the duo, both ended up returning to NXT. Alexander has not competed since late July.
Cedric Alexander is one of several top WWE talents whose contracts were going to expire in 2024, with many, like Shayna Baszler, Sheamus, Seth Rollins, and Randy Orton, already renewing their deals. Nonetheless, fans are happy to see Cedric Alexander stick with WWE for the long run, so we’ll have to see how he will be booked in the coming months.
