WWE Working on Securing New Deals for Multiple Superstars

In a year marked by WWE actively signing new talent while also seeing some key departures, the company continues to navigate contract negotiations with top stars.

One of the most notable departures is Becky Lynch, who opted to leave WWE not to sign with another promotion but simply to take a much-needed break. Lynch, who has been a mainstay in the company for years, remains connected through her husband, Seth Rollins, who is still with WWE.

Another star who left WWE recently is Ricochet, though his departure was driven by a different motivation. Ricochet made the jump to AEW to showcase his abilities and take on new challenges, a move that has intrigued wrestling fans eager to see how he’ll fare in the new environment.

Despite some exits, WWE has been successful in securing the futures of key talent like Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, and most recently Asuka, who have all signed new deals. The company’s next major contract focus is Kevin Owens, whose current deal expires in a few months, leaving WWE in a race to lock him down before other promotions can make offers.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer shed some light on WWE’s ongoing contract situation. He reported that WWE has been actively reaching out to several talents whose deals are set to expire in the coming months, aiming to secure them with new contracts. While Asuka’s new deal was confirmed publicly, Meltzer noted that there may be other extensions in the works, though WWE has not officially confirmed those negotiations.

As WWE looks to retain its key players while navigating new signings and departures, it will be interesting to see who stays, who goes, and how the talent landscape shifts in the coming months.
