Vince McMahon officially resigned from all his roles within TKO, including his positions as executive chairman and a member of the TKO Board of Directors. This move came in the wake of a lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant, who made serious allegations against McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis.

The lawsuit accuses McMahon of being involved in sex trafficking, distributing nude photos and explicit videos of Grant without her consent, and other disturbing claims. These allegations have cast a shadow over McMahon’s legacy and prompted a non-public investigation by the US Attorney’s Office, which caused a pause in the lawsuit. The case is set to resume in December.

Grant’s attorney, Ann Callis, confirmed that due to the investigation, her client was not interviewed for the upcoming Netflix documentary on McMahon. This case has left many within the wrestling world, including fans and WWE employees, grappling with the allegations.

During a post-event press conference at Bash in Berlin, Cody Rhodes was asked about the ongoing documentary on McMahon, who was once his boss. Rhodes addressed the locker room’s stance, explaining that while they aren’t necessarily trying to stay quiet, their focus remains on the company’s present and their work moving forward.

However, not everyone within WWE feels the same. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that some within the company are disgusted by the allegations surrounding McMahon.

“I know some are repulsed. I know some are not, so you can’t answer for the locker room in general. Some, like C.M. Punk, Becky Lynch, and Ronda Rousey have given their own personal answers, but most aren’t going to say anything because you just don’t know how management will take it.”

As for the lawsuit itself, McMahon, Laurinaitis, and WWE are all pushing for the case to be thrown out and settled through arbitration. Whether that happens will depend on a judge’s ruling in the near future.

What do you think will happen with this case? Should Vince McMahon face further scrutiny, or will the legal push for arbitration settle the matter? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
