WWE presented its first-ever Premium Live Event in Germany last week, WWE Bash in Berlin, which garnered remarkable success and emerged as the highest-grossing arena show for the company. With the event in the rearview, traditional PPV buys for the show have been unveiled.

Traditional pay-per-view (PPV) numbers mainly come from rural areas since most WWE events now stream via Peacock. According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE Bash in Berlin garnered 6,600 buys, reflecting a 10% increase from Money in the Bank and a significant 65.9% rise from Clash at the Castle. However, the numbers were down by 34.3% compared to SummerSlam.

Interestingly, 48% of those who purchased WWE Bash in Berlin also bought SummerSlam, and 15.4% of them bought AEW All In. In contrast, only 6.8% of SummerSlam buyers also purchased All In. This trend suggests that fans who buy smaller WWE events are more likely to purchase AEW events as well.

Furthermore, the data highlights intriguing purchasing patterns between WWE and AEW audiences, with a specific group of fans more inclined to buy across both companies’ events.

With WWE’s resurrecting its old PPV concept, Bad Blood, for next month, we will have to wait and see if it will be able to exceed Bash in Berlin’s PPV buys.
