The September 6 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, which served as the final show for the blue brand on FOX, proved to be an absolute banger edition, befitting for a farewell show and setting the tone for next week when SmackDown moves to the USA network.

On tonight’s show, Kevin Owens put down both Austin Theory and Grayson Waller in a triple-threat match. Following their loss, they asked General Manager Nick Aldis to put them once again in a match against Owens, but this time in a tag team match with a partner of KO’s choosing, which was later made official.

Elsewhere, the ongoing rivalry between Andrade El Idolo and Carmelo Hayes is tied at 2-2. Next week on SmackDown, both men will collide against each other in the rubber match to see who will reign supreme in this heated feud.

Finally, in the main event, the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will defend his title against Solo Sikoa. Moreover, to keep Solo’s Bloodline away from interfering, Nick Aldis scheduled this title match to take place inside a Steel Cage.
