AEW’s All In event was a big night in Wembley Stadium for Mariah May. She emerged as AEW Women’s Champion over Toni Storm, concluding their long-running angle. Now, as champion, May has a brand-new intensity and she’s not willing to give up her spot any time soon.

In recent months, Mariah May and Mercedes Mone have emerged as two of the standout stars in AEW’s women’s division. Mone has claimed the AEW TBS Championship and subsequently secured the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship by defeating Stephanie Vaquer. Meanwhile, May reached a new pinnacle in her career at AEW All In.

On a recent episode of Rasslin’ with Brandon F. Walker, Mariah May shared her thoughts on her fellow roster members. When asked about her feelings towards others in the division, May responded candidly to say that she doesn’t dislike anyone.

“I actually don’t really dislike anybody because I don’t care about them, so I don’t really have negative feelings about them because that would imply that I care about them and I don’t.”

The conversation then shifted to Mercedes Mone. At that point, Mariah May acknowledged a degree of interest in Mone, noting that Mone had expressed a desire to face her in the ring.

“I care slightly because she said that she wants to wrestle me because I’m world champion now. So if she wants to, she can try.”

Later in the interview, Mariah May was asked about the prospect of Mone challenging her for the AEW Women’s World Championship. May responded with a bold challenge, suggesting that Mone should put her title on the line as well.

“Yeah, and then I’ll say okay, put your belt on the line, and then I’ll have two belts. Three if we want to include the Owen Belt. Four if she wants to put the New Japan Strong belt on the line.”

Mariah May is probably not done with Toni Storm. After May read a eulogy for Storm after All In, it seems that the Timeless one is in a position where her return could re-spark their rivalry. Only time will tell how long of a break she is going to take.

We will have to see what Tony Khan decides to do. It’s hard to imagine that Mercedes Mone vs Mariah May wouldn’t be a title for title situation. If The CEO walks into the match as double champion, then she may emerge will three titles in tow.

What’s your take on Mariah May taking on Mercedes Mone? Do you think that it would end with Mone walking out as a triple champion? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
