The Insane Clown Posse, consisting of Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J, have been involved in pro wrestling for years and were notably influential in the 1990s. Despite their long history, the duo remains relevant today. They recently revealed the amount they were paid for their appearances on RAW.

The Insane Clown Posse have a long history with professional wrestling, from their memorable WWE appearances during the Attitude Era to the independent wrestling events they host at their annual Gathering festival.

While speaking on the Kliq This podcast, Violent J talked about his and Dope’s time in WWE during the 90s. Violent J was asked if there was a deal about WWE selling their record. Violent J clarified that WWE was paying The Insane Clown Posse $2,000 per appearance on Monday Night RAW.

“They were giving us like two grand each to be there, right? Right, every time we came.”

The duo recently made headlines after Violent J went off on a profane rant against CM Punk. Nonetheless, some fans may feel The Insane Clown Posse deserved better payment in WWE but that’s in the past now.
