Heather Reckless has officially crossed the line and signed with TNA Wrestling.
After making appearances for the promotion earlier this year, Reckless is now a part of the roster, solidifying her spot after impressing at the TNA iMPACT! tapings in Chicago and Kentucky.
Reckless first worked with TNA in June, taking on Ash By Elegance during the Chicago tapings, and later returned for the tapings following TNA Emergence in Kentucky. Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Reckless shared her journey to securing the deal, recalling her initial match against Gisele Shaw about a year ago and her persistence to get noticed.
“I wrestled for them twice. My first match was with Gisele Shaw. This was like a year ago… I finally got an opportunity, and here we are,” Reckless explained.
After her match in Kentucky, Reckless didn’t have to wait long for the good news. Gail Kim, a legend in women’s wrestling and a key figure in TNA’s Knockouts Division, personally offered her a contract.
“After the match… Gail Kim, she opened an office door and was like, ‘Come here.’ ‘Oh no’ [laughs]. I went in there and she was like, ‘We want to offer you a contract.’ So exciting.”
Receiving the offer from Gail Kim was an emotional moment for Reckless, who expressed her deep admiration for the wrestling icon.
“I cry about it all the time… She’s helping the future of women’s wrestling. It makes me cry. I love her. It’s the ultimate compliment.”
Reckless, who has already made a name for herself in the independent scene with promotions like Black Label Pro, AAW, Glory Pro, and ROH, is now set to make a bigger splash in TNA.
