Daniel Garcia made a surprising return to AEW at All In 2024, marking his comeback after being absent since the July 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, where MJF viciously attacked him. This attack effectively wrote him off television, but Garcia’s reappearance has reignited speculation about his future with AEW, which he has also addressed.

During a recent interview, Garcia was directly asked about the speculation surrounding his AEW contract and potential re-signing. However, Garcia chose not to address the rumours.

In a media scrum following AEW All In, President and CEO Tony Khan praised Garcia’s contributions to the company, calling him “a great part of AEW” but refrained from discussing the details of his contract.

In a separate interview with Good Karma Wrestling, Garcia opened up about the challenges of dealing with speculation about his personal and professional life. He expressed frustration over misinformation.

“I won’t lie, I mean, it can be difficult sometimes when every time you open up your phone and it’s somebody assuming something about you and your life. Not even just your career. It’s real-life stuff that people are assuming about. So sometimes it can be a little difficult and it can get into your head and it can make you just question everything and it can be frustrating because you’re like, ‘Where is this information coming from? Where are people getting this information?’

Despite the rumours, Garcia emphasized the importance of moving forward with integrity and blocking out the noise.

“So honestly, it can be a lot to process sometimes but, I think if you just, you know, move with integrity, stick to your guns and have full belief that you’re doing what’s right and that you will do what’s right, I think that’s what matters most. I think if you do that, it can be easier to block out the noise than if you’re not.”

Despite the uncertainty, Garcia is currently focused on his upcoming match against MJF at AEW All Out on September 7th. Reports have also indicated that WWE believes Garcia may have signed a lucrative deal with AEW, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

As Daniel Garcia’s contract nears its expiration and he returns to AEW television, fans will be watching closely to see what the future holds for the talented wrestler, which possibly sees him stay in AEW amidst speculated interest by their rivals, WWE.
