This year’s AEW All Out event is set for Saturday, September 7, at NOW Arena in Chicago, IL and there are quite a few solid matches that fans can sink their teeth into. However, it appears the pay-per-view is set to attain a very unfortunate record.

All Out has traditionally been one of AEW’s key annual events, with the 2021 show being particularly notable. However, recently, it has been seen as less significant, especially since it follows closely after All In. The 2023 Wembley event, which was the biggest in AEW’s history, left Chicago fans feeling disappointed with the show just a week later.

The 2024 All Out event has featured some strong matches, including PAC vs. Will Ospreay for the International Championship and potentially Bryan Danielson’s final match in Chicago and Swerve Strickland vs Adam Page in a steel cage match. Despite this, it is expected to underperform in terms of ticket sales.

Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the show is not on track to sell out. With only 6,513 tickets sold so far and a $33 entry price, it will be the first Chicago PPV event not to approach a sellout.

All Out is at 6,513 tickets out, with this number not factoring in whatever the incredible performance by Adam Page in the burning down Swerve Strickland’s childhood house storyline. This isn’t going to sell out and will be the first Chicago PPV show not to at least approach a sellout. The get-in price of $33 is not bad, but also shows the demand as of two days before the show was at the low end of usual.

For comparison, the lowest attendance for an All Out show in Chicago was 9,826 in 2023. The 2020 show, held in Jacksonville, had reduced attendance due to COVID restrictions. Regardless, All Out is still expected to be a solid show and the company is more focused on delivering a good show for the time being.
