Tony Schiavone, who began his professional wrestling career in 1983 as a broadcaster for Jim Crockett Promotions, has had a long and ongoing presence in the industry. He’s familiar with Vince McMahon’s ways of running things and recently shared why he has no interest in watching McMahon’s upcoming Netflix documentary.

Tony Schiavone has been part of Tony Khan’s company since the very beginning as a commentator and occasional announcer. He is also part of the company’s talent relations department as AEW’s Senior Producer and Special Advisor to Talent since mid-2022.

Netflix will be releasing Vince McMahon’s documentary titled ”Mr. McMahon” on September 25th and there is a lot of hype and skepticism regarding the series for very good reason.

While speaking on What Happened When, Tony Schiavone shared that he has no plans to watch the upcoming Netflix docuseries about Vince McMahon, Mr. McMahon. Schiavone expressed his dislike for Bill Simmons, who is involved in the project, stating he won’t support anything Simmons produces. Schiavone explained his issues with Simmons stem from critical comments made about him during his time with WCW, leading him to avoid anything related to Simmons, including the popular 30 for 30 series.

“I will never watch anything Bill Simmons does. He can go suck a d**k. Bill was very critical of me during the WCW years, and you know what, said some very terrible things. So you know what he can do…there you go…And I had I know he [Simmons] was one of the founders of ’30 for 30,’ I wouldn’t have watched any of them.”

Vince McMahon also has no control over the final cut for the documentary. Therefore, we will have to wait and see whether it will remain a completely unbiased depiction of Vince McMahon’s life, as the world will definitely be watching.
