Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman have forged one of the greatest wrestler-manager alliances in WWE in the modern era. The partnership that began after Reigns’ return to WWE in 2020 skyrocketed his career to unprecedented heights while giving Heyman a new star making experience.
The OTC and his Wiseman were guests on the Bloomberg Players Live season 2. While discussing the importance of character names in the world of professional wrestling, Paul Heyman shed light on an intriguing detail that the fans witness each week when he appears.
Paul Heyman stated that he introduces himself with his iconic statement, “Ladies and Gentleman, My name is Paul Heyman”, for a specific reason in WWE. Heyman revealed that, according to him, many fans might not know him and are new to the product every week, so his introduction is a way to inform them who he is.
Similarly, in the case of Roman Reigns, Heyman introduces using the iconic line “I am the Wiseman to my Tribal Chief Roman Reigns” to introduce that same section of fans to The OTC.
Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman were last seen together on WWE television at WrestleMania 40, where Reigns lost the Undisputed WWE Title to Cody Rhodes. After Heyman was written out of television, Reigns came back at SummerSlam to begin his feud with Solo Sikoa, with his latest appearance seeing him being beatdown by Solo and his Bloodline.
With Reigns and Heyman reunited on a major platform like Bloomberg, fans eagerly await to see the iconic duo pair up once again on SmackDown.
