Netflix has officially released the trailer for its upcoming docuseries, Mr. McMahon, ahead of its September 25 premiere. The six-part series delves deep into the life and legacy of Vince McMahon, exploring both his professional triumphs and controversies.

The trailer reveals a lineup of high-profile interviews, including conversations with Vince McMahon himself, as well as wrestling legends like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, John Cena, and Bret Hart. Other notable figures like Bruce Prichard, Eric Bischoff, and Paul “Triple H” Levesque also share their insights, alongside media personality David Shoemaker.

McMahon opens the trailer by addressing his public persona, saying, “People have wondered who I really am. You know, portrayal of me that I’m a bad guy, but no one really knows me.”

The series promises to tackle key moments in WWE history, such as the company’s meteoric rise, the infamous 1994 steroid trial, and the tragic Chris Benoit double murder-suicide. Additionally, the docuseries will cover the sexual abuse allegations made by Janel Grant, although Grant was not interviewed for the series despite outreach from producers.

Produced by Bill Simmons and Tiger King executive producer Chris Smith, Mr. McMahon features six one-hour episodes, all set to be released on Netflix on September 25. The series has been in development since 2020, with adjustments made in response to various allegations against McMahon, including his resignation from WWE in January 2023 following Grant’s lawsuit.

Interestingly, WWE does not hold a production credit on this docuseries, and the release comes just months before WWE Raw moves to Netflix in January 2025. With the series stirring significant anticipation, fans and critics alike are eager to see how Mr. McMahon portrays the complex and controversial figure who revolutionized professional wrestling.
