Janel Grant had sought records from Dr. Carlon Colker, a wellness doctor involved in her case. Despite Vince McMahon’s attempts to block this request, a judge ruled against him. Dr. Colker has denied any wrongdoing regarding his treatment of Grant. In response to Colker’s motion to dismiss her petition for evidence, Grant filed a motion to strike his bill of discovery. With that said, it appears that Dr. Colker has withdrawn his petition entirely.

Janel Grant had previously filed a petition to obtain records from Dr. Carlon Colker and his clinic, Peak Wellness, Inc. She claims that, in November 2019, she received undisclosed treatments at the clinic, including pills and IV infusions, under Vince McMahon’s direction. When she questioned these substances, Dr. Colker allegedly challenged her trust in him.

In response, Dr. Colker filed a complaint against Grant, denying her allegations and calling them a “smear campaign.” He claims the accusations have significantly damaged his reputation, estimating the harm at “tens of millions of dollars.” Dr. Colker is seeking documentation to disprove Grant’s claims and also wants to depose her.

Grant countered by filing a motion in Connecticut Superior Court to strike Colker’s complaint and dismiss his bill of discovery. She is also seeking statutory sanctions, costs, and attorneys’ fees against Colker and Peak Wellness. Grant’s legal team argues that Colker’s actions are an attempt to intimidate her and infringe on her First Amendment rights, calling his complaint baseless and an effort to obstruct her investigation into her medical treatment.

Dr. Colker’s attorneys then filed a motion to dismiss Grant’s request for evidence, including medical records, related to her federal lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE.

According to POST Wrestling, Dr. Carlon Colker has withdrawn his legal action against Janel Grant, as revealed in a new filing with the Connecticut Superior Court on Wednesday.

As noted above, Colker had previously sought to obtain evidence from Grant, a former WWE employee who is currently suing WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis in a federal lawsuit alleging sex trafficking and sexual assault. Both parties had been aiming to depose each other and Colker had also requested records of any media communications involving Grant or her representatives.

The reasons behind Colker’s sudden withdrawal of his discovery petition are not clear, and it’s uncertain if a settlement agreement influenced this decision. Regardless, it remains to be seen how the lawsuit will progress as there are quite a few elements to it so it might take a considerable amount of time to reach a conclusion, especially now that Colker has withdrawn his petition entirely.
