This year’s AEW All Out event is set for Saturday, September 7, at NOW Arena in Chicago, IL and there is definitely a lot of hype for the pay-per-view. Following the events of Dynamite this week, AEW has made a major alteration to one of the matches on the card.
The rivalry between Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland has been a key storyline in AEW over the past year. Their feud started in October 2023 and has featured several major matches, including a brutal Texas Death Match at Full Gear and a triple threat match at AEW Revolution.
They also clashed as opponents in this year’s Blood & Guts match. It has now been confirmed that Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland will face off in a steel cage match at the upcoming All Out pay-per-view.
The ending segment of the September 4th edition of AEW Dynamite, which saw Adam Page burn Swerve Strickland’s childhood house down. After AEW Dynamite ended, Tony Khan told the live audience that the match between Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page would be an unsanctioned “lights out” steel cage match.
This stipulation more or less confirms Adam Page and Swerve Strickland will try to maim each other at the AEW All Out pay-per-view on September 7th, so we will have to wait and see who will ultimately prevail when all is said and done.
