Swerve Strickland Buys Back His Childhood Home in a Moving Full Circle Story

Swerve Strickland has emerged as one of the most captivating and top-tier AEW stars. Despite losing the AEW World Championship at All In 2024, Swerve has carved out a successful life in professional wrestling and recently had a heartwarming full-circle moment.

In a clip released by AEW on X that featured Swerve Strickland and his manager, Prince Nana, Swerve announced that he had bought back his childhood house last week. Strickland began with touching upon his history and family who moved back from Frankfurt to the United States in that house.

While Strickland mentioned that he and his family had a lot of beautiful memories in that house, there were also hardships that came their way. From meeting ends, figuring their next meals, no electricity and eventually losing the house, Swerve and his family faced it all. He even mentioned about his mother and grandmother’s sorrow the day they lost the house.

Moreover, Swerve felt helpless because he was not able to provide for his family as a teenager. At that point, he decided to pursue his passion and be the absolute best at it to buy back his house. Fast forward, just before AEW All In 2024, Swerve Strickland signed his contract extension with AEW.

The former AEW World Champion revealed that he gave the bonus money from the deal to Prince Nana, who worked out the deal for him and helped him purchase back his childhood home, with the video concluding with a happy moment between both AEW stars.

“As of last week, at All In in Wembley Stadium in London, I signed my All Elite Wrestling contract extension. That bonus money, I gave it to one man, that was trustworthy enough to make the magic happy and here we are with the deed to the house and now I … proud owner of this new home … my childhood home, that eventually my kids and my kids’ kids will grow up in, have new memories as a kid just like I did. [looking at Prince Nana] So i got to say thank you, my manager, my best friend.”

Swerve Strickland rose from being an afterthought in WWE to becoming a marquee attraction in AEW with his hard work and passion. Now, those years of grind have rewarded him in the biggest way, with Strickland earning back a prized possession of his family in a full circle moment, proving that hard work and perseverance would always reward those who never give up.
