Mark Henry’s debut at the AEW Double Or Nothing pay-per-view in 2021 led to tons of expectations but most of them remained unfulfilled. He is now a free agent and has now addressed getting an office role at the WWE Performance Center.

Following his AEW departure, Mark Henry made a surprise appearance on the August 12th edition of Monday Night RAW. Naturally, this made fans wonder if he would work in WWE in the future.

While speaking with Donnie DaSilva and Jimmy Korderas on their Huge Pop podcast, Mark Henry was asked about the possibility of taking on an office role at the WWE Performance Center. Henry was very direct in his response, expressing doubts about such a move.

Henry explained that he doesn’t foresee himself working at the Performance Center because he hasn’t had any indications or offers that would suggest it. Henry also pointed out that WWE would likely have to offer him a significant salary to entice him away from his current pursuits, mentioning that he earns around $40,000 to $50,000 per month. Given WWE’s recent trend of budget cuts and firing employees, Henry feels it’s unlikely they would offer him a multi-million-dollar deal if he’s not actively wrestling. As a result, he’s not holding out for such an opportunity.

”I don’t see it (me working at WWE Performance Center), because usually, you have an inkling about a situation like that and I don’t. I think they realize that what they would have to pay me would — to stop me from doing what I do now and you know, if you’re making $40, $50 grand a month, the last thing they wanna do is have to pay you that much, if you’re not wrestling. I’m sure there’s some people that’s making that kind of money but, you know, didn’t they just clean house? Firing people and stuff. They not just gonna hand out another multi-million-dollar deal. I’m not waiting on it.

Mark Henry also cleared the air on allegations of being mad and bitter about his time in AEW. Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait and see what’s next in store for the WWE Hall of Famer, as the world is truly his oyster.
